Abstract: In the past 20 years,especially from 1998,Lu Xueyi has conducted the fundamental research in the field of the society construction,bringing the significant contribution to the theory of the socialism with Chinese characteristics,and has influenced broadly and profoundly in the academia and the society. The society construction theory of Lu Xueyi can be generalized into ten aspects:The unbalance development caused by lagging behind is the major contradiction in our country at this stage;At present, the focus of the society construction research should be the harmonious development of the economy and the society;China has entered the new stage that should be focused on the society construction;The society construction is the modernization of the society;The society construction should be explicitly defined as the major task and the development stage;At this stage,the core task is to adjust the social structure;the social system reform is the motive power of the society construction;Equal effort should be made to promote the society construction as the economic construction;The society construction should be relied on the public;The research of the society construction should be done in the context of China and the process of the world modernization.These ideas are the milestones in the research field of China's society construction.
