Abstract: The community reconstruction under the background of China has three important themes;the separation of government and community,the separation of commerce and community and post-disaster reconstruction.Through the changing process of Hanzhengjie commercial block from mixed state to the separation of commerce and residential community,this study explains that the separation of market and community is another model of community reconstruction in addition to the model of separation of government and community and the model of post-disaster reconstruction.The separation of government and community reconstructs the sociality and publicity of community through redefining the relation of government and community.The separation of commerce and residential community reconstructs the publicity and sociality of community through redefining the relation of market and community.
