Abstract: Concurrent engineering is a kind of new product R & D model, which come forth in recent years and has been highly thought of by more and more enterprises and research units. Based on the survey of a famous multinational enterprise s R & D institute in Beijing and the analysis on the concurrent engineering cases, a common concurrent engineering model is put forward and applied to multinational enterprises' overseas product-oriented R&D practice. Implementing methods of concurrent engineering in multinational enterprises' overseas product-oriented R & D practice are discussed from the management and the technology respectively.
