摘要: Oxymoron (矛盾修辞法)是用2个意思截然相反的词或词组所构成的一种辞格,即把通常相互矛盾、相互排斥的2个概念或判断巧妙地联系在一起,通过展示一件事物本身所具有的矛盾性,以便相互映衬,使该事物的特点更加鲜明,内涵更为丰富,以表达复杂的思想感情或意味深长的哲理,在体现辩证统一的语义特征的同时,也造成一种出人意料、引人入胜的修辞效果,从而感受语言的独特魅力。oxymoron主要有浓缩型和舒展型2种类型,经常运用于英语诗歌、电影与戏剧的对白、各种演讲乃至日常生活会话中。Abstract: Oxymoron,as a figure of speech frequently used in English,usually reflects the semantic featurcs of dialectical unity.It is a figure of speech in which apparently contradictory terms are combined to produce an epigrammatic effect.It can be divided into condensed type and enlarged type.It is widely used in English poetry,dialogue of movie and drama,speech,or even in the conversation of daily life.It plays an important role in spoken English.
