Abstract: From the rhetorical perspective,metaphor can be mainly classified into two sorts, namely,the explicit form and the implicit one.As far as the internal structure of the explicit metaphor is concerned,four subsidiaries can be mainly generalized based on the grammatical collocation of tenor and vehical——the Parallel Type,the Modifying Type,the Clause Type and the Transformation Type.Chinese and English possess both commonalities and peculiarities in their metaphorical structures due to the partly identical and partly different grammar systems in the two languages.
