Abstract: Oral tests,which involve verbal communication and nonverbal communication, have always been one of the indispensable elements in the whole process of education.They are fundamentally different from written tests in terms of their content,format,performance of the participants and other aspects.Nonverbal communication components involved in this paper are:body language,facial expressions,clothing,distance,objects and paralanguage. The focus of this paper will be the roles of nonverbal communication components play on oral tests,hence how to achieve successful performance during the process of oral tests both from the point of view of candidates and interlocutors.Some suggestions will be given to interlocutors on how to conduct oral tests satisfactorily in view of the non-verbal communication components.
