Abstract:
It has been a national policy in China to encourage entrepreneurship and ensure employment for college students and its basis in study. Most exiting researches focus on study, employment, and entrepreneurship of college students, but few discuss these issues from the perspective of employers. It is even rarer to put college student/graduates and employers into one framework. Based on two nationwide survey data, this article compares views of study, employment, entrepreneurship of college students/graduates and employers. We find that employers are more critical to college education than students, while they are more sympathetic to entrepreneurship. We also discuss policy implication of our research in the end.
