Abstract: From the perspective of vertical and horizontal respectively the times and historicity of the national spirit,as well as the tradition and openness of the national spirit are discussed.As a result,the national spirit is historical and of the times,and not only traditional but also opening up,especially in the trend of globalization.The mutual exchanges and dependence between ethnical groups are more frequent and deep than ever. The one-sidedness and limitation of a nation are of no possibility,when the openness and integration of a nation are a necessity.
