Abstract: Moving along with the time', a new concept summed up and put forward by Comrade Jiang Zemin, is one of the most frequently used words in present China. The direct implication of the words is to keep up with the development of the time. To use the phrase to express the nature of Marxist theory is a match for the thought 'seek truth from facts', which is used to convey the essence of Marxist theory. They are different approaches but have equally satisfactory results. Moving along with the time implies profound philosophical foundation and demonstrates the Marxist outlooks on practice and truth, material dialectics and historical materialism.
