Abstract: The effects of university merger on the journals of medical college is elucidated. On one hand, the merger will contribute to academic level and impact of periodicals and increasing contributions; On the other hand, it is possible for the bibliometrological parameter statistics and the journal subscriptions to be influenced by the changed names in short term. In addition the paper discusses how to improve the academic level of published papers, overcome the unfavourable factors and grasp all possible opportunities to improve the new journals better and better.
