Abstract:
The evaluation of engineering teachers in colleges and universities is an important means to measure and promote the level of teachers in higher engineering education. It is also an important way to promote the professional development of teachers. In view of the existing problems in the evaluation system of teachers in colleges and universities in China, the classification of subjects is not refined and the academic decision-making is dominated by the administrative management. Based on the concept of development evaluation, this paper tries to construct the evaluation index system of engineering teachers in colleges and universities, to evaluate the quality of higher engineering education through the construction of teaching staff and puts forward three suggestions on the construction of the evaluation index system: first one is the index selection, which should pay attention to the operation, the second one is the evaluation process, which should be scientific, the third one is to guide the teacher evaluation towards development, so as to build a dynamic and developing index system framework of the engineering teachers' evaluation.
