Abstract: The world has entered the era of the fourth industrial revolution, and China has become the leader and practitioner of innovative green modernization. China's basic natural conditions determine not only the Chinese modernization path, but also the modernization path to be the green modernization, i. e. the modernization of harmony between human beings and nature. The three major sources of China's green development theory are: the traditional wisdom of "unity of man and heaven" in ancient China, the Marxist dialectics of nature, and the contemporary theory of sustainable development, which constitute the theoretical foundation of the modernization of harmony between man and nature. According to the National 12th and 13th Five-Year Plans and the third-party assessment by the author, the Party's 18th National Congress has highly evaluated the theoretical innovation and significant progress in building a modernization in harmony with nature, and has achieved a historical, transitional and all-round green development, a civilized development path of productive development, affluent living and good ecology in a developing country with a large population. A forward-looking vision of the goals and basic trends of Chinese-style green modernization in 2035 includes eight aspects. Chinese green modernization is a modernization that shares the development and destiny of mankind. It is not only a modernization that meets China's natural conditions and adapts to the new development stage, but also provides a valuable experience for developing countries to explore a new modernization path, which is of great global significance.
