Abstract: Coordinating development and security is an important part of Xi Jinping′s socialist ideology with China′s characteristics in the new era. It is the key to guiding China′s economic and social transformation against the backdrop of profound changes unseen in the world in a century, and the underlying logic for building a new development pattern. Coordinating development and security in the course of building a new structure requires active responses to all kinds of risks and challenges that may occur at home and abroad, and better maintaining and promoting the steady and sound development of China′s economy and society, thus providing a solid guarantee for building the modern socialist country with Chinese characteristics. Based on Marxist political economy theory, this paper analyzes the logical relationship between industrial safety, periodicity and the construction of a new double-cycle pattern, and reveals the internal security risks in the new double-cycle pattern. It is of great significance to promote the high-quality development of China′s economy by stimulating domestic demand, improving the industrial chain and supply chain, accelerating core technology innovation and unblocking the domestic and international double circulation connection, providing practical references for coordinating development and security under the background of the construction of double circulation new pattern.
