Abstract: Based on big data and its methods, the connotation, main characteristics and application space of big data methods in ideological and political education are explained. The big data method of ideological and political education is an ideological and political education method formed by the deep integration of big data and ideological and political education, and the integration of the two is mainly reflected in three levels: one is the ideological and political education method in the big data environment; the other is the application of big data methods in ideological and political education; and the third is the formation of specific ideological and political education big data methods. From the perspective of the essential connotation, the big data method of ideological and political education is not only a method of ideological and political education, a method of big data, but also a method of full sample and a method of scientific personalization and precision. At the same time, it is proposed that the big data method of ideological and political education has not only the characteristics of "big data", scientific, systematic, and precise, but also a wide range of application space in the understanding methods, implementation methods, research methods, and evaluation methods of ideological and political education.
