Abstract: As an important part of Xi Jinping's new socialist ideology with China's characteristics, the sense of gain provided a "Chinese concept" for measuring the well-being of the elderly. In the new era, the generation of sense of pension gain is the result of the combined effect of objective actual acquisition and subjective evaluation. The objective basis of sense of pension gain is to accurately meet the actual acquisition of different pension needs. The subjective basis of sense of pension gain is to superimpose the subjective evaluation of satisfaction with actual acquisition through fair cognition and horizontal and vertical comparison. The logical approach it follows is "the logic of obtaining basic rights", "the logic of meeting the needs of multi-dimensional development" and "the logic of subjective evaluation based on benefit comparison". In order to effectively enhance the sense of pension gain in the new era, China should innovate the concept of elderly support, develop technology-driven intelligent pension model, optimize the old-age security system, and realize old-age security from "welfare" to "rights", from "supply and demand dislocation" to "precise supply", from "invisible imbalance" to "moderate balance" of the three shift.
