Abstract:
In order to clarify the employment quality of college graduates with financial difficulties, the study analyzed the influence degree and mechanism of family resources by using the data of Employment and Entrepreneurship Follow-up Survey of College Graduates in Shaanxi (2017). It finds that the influence of family income on the employment quality is mainly reflected in the positive impact on the average monthly income and employment satisfaction. Job search cost has the most significant impact on job satisfaction and major matching degree. College graduates with low, medium and high costs in job search have lower job satisfaction and major matching degree than those with no cost. The important evaluation of the family economic status to job hunting has the most significant impact on the average monthly income of college graduates. College graduates who rated their family's financial situation as moderately important or very important had lower average monthly earnings than those who rated their family's financial situation as unimportant. Therefore, the paper proposes to provide employment assistance to college graduates from poor families, give priority to providing employment internship opportunities, set up special funds for employment and construct a personalized employment guidance service system.
