Abstract:
In the big data era, data literacy is not only an essential quality for scientific research, management decision, and participation in social life, but also the important contents of talents training in colleges and universities. The developed countries such as USA have carried out the practice of data literacy education in an all-round way. China has also started the relevant theoretical research on data literacy education, but the corresponding educational practice is very weak. In this paper, the connotation of the concept of data literacy education and the development of quality education in higher education are analyzed, the present situation of the data literacy education at home and abroad is elaborated, and some suggestions are put forward in view of the problems existing in the data quality education in China's higher education.
